Jimena Fama (Electro Dub Tango) und das Tango Jazz Quartett (Buenos Aires) präsentieren heute Nacht eine einzigartige Zusammenarbeit, indem sie die Melodien und den Rhythmus von Electro Dub Tango (Electrotango) mit den Harmonien und Improvisationen des Tango Jazz Quartetts verbinden und so einen völlig neuen Klang entstehen lassen! Diese neue Herangehensweise an Tango und Jazz stieß sowohl in Argentinien als auch international auf begeisterte Resonanz und wurde von der Regierung von Buenos Aires als „Kulturelles Interesse“ nominiert. Diese Band wird von bekannten traditionellen Tango-Songs bis hin zu Electro-Dub-Tango-Jazz-Versionen und zur Musik von Astor Piazzolla reisen. Es erwartet euch eine höchst spannende Jazz-Tango-Fusion!

Mit 26 internationalen Tourneen in mehr als 30 Ländern trat das Tango Jazz Quartet bereits in den renommiertesten Veranstaltungsorten der Welt auf. Der Bandleader, Saxophonist und Klarinettist Gustavo Firmenich belebt mit dieser Band die Tanzabende aus der goldenen Ära des Tangos in Buenos Aires wieder, wo Tango und Jazz co-existierten, obwohl sie getrennt voneinander gespielt wurden. Das Tango Jazz Quartet verschmilzt die Gemeinsamkeiten beider Lieder und fügte dem Jazz etwas hinzu, was dem Tango fehlte: die Improvisation. Jimena Fama (Electro Dub Tango) and the Tango Jazz Quartet (Buenos Aires) present a unique collaboration tonight, combining the melodies and rhythm of Electro Dub Tango (Electrotango) with the harmonies and improvisations of the Tango Jazz Quartet and so create a completely new sound! This new approach to tango and jazz received an enthusiastic response both in Argentina and internationally, naming them of “Cultural Interest“ by the government of Buenos Aires. This band will travel from well-known traditional tango songs to electro dub tango jazz versions and the music of Astor Piazzolla. A very exciting jazz-tango fusion awaits you!
